1960's Music

image credit Aleeratjemna My youth club years were the late 1960s and early 1970s. Each of these tunes has some significance for me. Little bit of growing up a little bit of history too. For me this period was a search for identity, it was the twilight of the Mods and Rockers and the emergence of Skin Heads and Glam Rock. The Trashmen Surfin bird was a rock and roll song by the famous band they formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1962. The group's lineup was Tony Andreason on lead guitar and vocals, Dal Winslow on guitar and vocals, Steve Wahrer on drums and vocals, and Bob Reed on bass guitar. The group played surf rock which included many elements from garage rock.     The Trashmen came from Minneapolis, Minnissota and were active from 1962 too 1967 then had a 15 year hiatis and reformed in 1982 till 1989.     The Trashmen's international billboard hit was 1963's "Surfin' Bird", which reached #4 on the Billboard ...
