Getting money owed to you from the government sounds like a no-brainer, but across Alabama income tax rebate checks have been returned from faulty mailing addresses and remain uncashed.
The average value of the checks is $1,183. The Internal Revenue Service recently disclosed the names of residents still owed money from 2008.

That seeming $10M discrepancy I mentioned between the amount claimed that the City would save during the CUPE strike--$30M--and the actual savings--$20M--is just too big to ignore.Something is very suspicious here that needs checking out. I need to find a skilled auditor who understands municipal bookkeeping who can help me out at a cost that I can afford.
