Clinton Beats Obama in California; Majority of Gays Still Loyal to Clinton, While Some Defected to Obama Early

Vote tally tops 9 million in California presidential primary Saturday, March 15, 2008

Senator Hillary Clinton has beat Senator Barrack Obama in counted delegates in the California Primary, according to Associated Press accounts carried in the San Francisco Chronicle:

"California voters set a record, of sorts, in the Feb. 5 presidential nominating contest."

"Secretary of State Debra Bowen says just over 9 million voters cast ballots, the most ever in a California primary."

"The state Democratic Party says Hillary Rodham Clinton won 204 delegates and Barack Obama won 166 delegates."

"In the popular vote, Clinton beat Obama by 8 points. She received 51.5 percent to his 43.2 percent."

Many GLBT voters are still fiercely loyal to Clinton and this is tempered by a significant percentage of gays and lesbians who were early defectors to the Obama camp.

It was widely reported in the U.S. mainstream media (MSM) that gays were leaving 'en masse' to support Obama, but this has since been revealed to another outrageous pro-Obama bias carried in unsupported headlines meant to harm the general perception of Clinton prior to primary votes.

Gay Clinton Backers Defect to Obama, Eroding Her Base

And even though major news agencies like Bloomberg carried ridiculous headlines shouting that 'Gays Clinton Backers Defect to Obama' (when in fact the numbers actually leaving Clinton were largely unsubstantiated) Clinton still held her own in primaries held in areas understood to have large openly gay and lesbian populations.

Clinton's wins in Ohio, California and Florida support the idea that gays and lesbians are still supporting Hillary, in spite of a blogosphere/MSM bias that seeks to create a different perception.

But no matter what hype is being spun, there's still a high likelihood that in the end the Florida delegates win be seated and Hillary will have a majority of the delegates and super-delegates, so Obama will have to either join Hillary or take his toys and go home, as some of his supporters promises he will do if he loses to Hillary.

Meanwhile many folks have had enough and there is major defection of Hillary supporters from left-leaning blogs as reported here:

So we have to ask, can the high-pitched acrimony be reversed in time to win the general election in November? Of course it can, and the political newbies in the Obama camp are going to learn a lesson in compromise before this is over, we predict . . .

Which leads me to what the next generation might be thinking about this mud fight between Obama and Clinton . . .

So what can we learn from You Tube Avatars? Yes, geeky, sex-hormone crazed kids in nameless suburbs are seizing the day and creating a political commentary that the Mainstream media will never achieve, so check this out kids:
