The final presidential debate is Wednesday, and Barack Obama is heading in with a 10-point lead according to the latest Gallup poll, which has Obama at 51 percent and McCain at 41 percent.

Today, Obama is back in Ohio after several appearances in the battleground state last week. But over the weekend, all four of his Philadelphia campaign rallies were so popular, security had to keep backing people up to control the crowds. From the Philadelphia Inquirer: "Supporters turned out by the thousands, an estimated 20,000 in West Philadelphia alone. They cheered his speeches and jumped for joy as his motorcade passed.

'
No question, the mayor [Michael Nutter] and I were clamoring to get him to do this kind of day,' said Gov. Rendell, who, along with Nutter, Sen. Bob Casey Jr. and numerous other Democratic officeholders accompanied Obama on his tour. 'Think of the buzz this will create.'"

Meanwhile in Philadelphia, Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin showed up at the season opening game for the Flyers and dropped the ceremonial first puck amidst racuous booing. Well what was she thinking? She didn't even wear a Flyers jersey. (See the video here)

Palin's soon-to-be son-in-law Levi Johnston gave an interview to the Associated Press over the weekend. He responded to rumors, by saying his upcoming marriage to Palin's daughter, Bristol, is something the couple wants and that he is in love with Bristol. Also that MySpace page where he called himself a redneck and said he didn't want kids was a total joke. At least that's what he's saying now. (More here)

Today, Palin appeared with John McCain in Virginia and North Carolina as the Republican party prepares for Wednesday's debate.
