Yup - you heard that right! Today, in the state of Ohio - a judge ruled that the homeless MUST be allowed to register to vote listing their park benches and other non-building locations as their addresses:
Judge rules Ohio homeless voters may list park benches as addresses Tuesday, October 28, 2008 1:32 PMCOLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A federal judge in Ohio has ruled that counties must allow homeless voters to list park benches and other locations that aren’t buildings as their addresses.
Umm - I guess Ohio doesn’t have a residential requirement for being a registered voter? That’s just plain crazy!
U.S. District Judge Edmund Sargus also ruled that provisional ballots can’t be invalidated because of poll worker errors.
Oh - and you really need to understand that last statement - this means that all those fraudulent ACORN registrations can’t be invalidated.
Then - there’s this story about convicted felons remaining on voting rolls in Florida -
Many convicted felons remain on voter rolls, according to Sun Sentinel investigation
Thousands who should be ineligible are registered to vote
October 12, 2008
More than 30,000 Florida felons who by law should have been stripped of their right to vote remain registered to cast ballots in this presidential battleground state, a Sun Sentinel investigation has found.
Many are faithful voters, with at least 4,900 turning out in past elections.
Another 5,600 are not likely to vote Nov. 4 — they’re still in prison.
Of the felons who registered with a party, Democrats outnumber Republicans more than two to one.
Take heed of that number folks! Okay - so these reporters have identified them - so - why doesn’t Florida just invalidate them and fix the rolls?
Florida’s elections chief, Secretary of State Kurt Browning, acknowledged his staff has failed to remove thousands of ineligible felons because of a shortage of workers and a crush of new registrations in this critical swing state.
Browning said he was not surprised by the newspaper’s findings. “I’m kind of shocked that the number is as low as it is,” he said.
Asked how many ineligible felons may be on Florida’s rolls, Browning said, “We don’t know.”
What an asshole! So fix it! This is probably one of THE most important elections of our lifetime - and you’re just pussyfooting this thing around…oh..gee…oh well..we can’t fix it by next Tuesday.
The Division of Elections has a backlog of more than 108,000 possible felons who have registered to vote since January 2006 that it hasn’t had the time or staff to verify. Browning estimated that about 10 percent, once checked, would be ineligible.
Wait - your math must be off Mr. Browning - these reporters found 30,000!!!! 10% of 108,00 is only 10,800. You’re about 20,000 off there dude - plus - that’s just the one’s that YOU know of. You said you really don’t know how many there actually are!
Oh - but - it gets better!
Henderson served about a year in prison in the late 1990s for battery and trafficking in cocaine. He said he was unaware he needed to formally apply to restore his rights when he successfully registered to vote in 2002. Henderson has since cast ballots in at least six elections and received three updated voter ID cards from the Broward Supervisor of Elections Office, records show.
Broward elections officials were unaware of Henderson’s criminal record and did not check it when he registered, said county elections spokeswoman Mary Cooney. Nonetheless, she said he will remain on the rolls “until we are directed otherwise to remove him.”
WHAT!!!! You know he is a convicted felon and it is against the law for him to vote - but - you’re waiting for someone to TELL you to take him off the rolls? Freakin’ asshole! It’s people like you working in the government that are bringing this country down. Your ass should be fired!
Then - there’s this story that broke today about an ex-ACORN worker who testified in a Pennsylvania court today that ACORN has been in touch with Obama during the entire campaign - WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW!!!
Former ACORN staffer testifies
By Brad Bumsted
STATE CAPITOL REPORTER
Wednesday, October 29, 2008HARRISBURG — A former staffer for an affiliate of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now testified today that the organization was provided a “donor list” from the presidential campaign of Barack Obama in late 2007 for fundraising efforts.
Anita Moncrief, a former Washington, D.C. staffer for Project Vote, which she described as a sister organization of ACORN, said her supervisor told her the list of campaign contributors came from the Obama campaign. Moncrief said she has a copy of a “development plan” that outlines how Obama contributors who had “maxed out” under federal contribution limits would be targeted to give to Project Vote, and that it was her job to identify such contributors.
This doesn’t surprise me one bit! And..I bet we already know what Obama said don’t we?
The Obama campaign said it wasn’t involved in ACORN registration drives .
“Our campaign has not coordinated with ACORN whatsoever on any voter registration activities,” said Obama spokesman Sean Smith.
Oh…of course not! I guess that $833,000 you gave to ACORN for voter registration drives is not connected at all! This election is going to go down in history as one of the greatest cons in the world! Word has it that the Wall Street Journal will be publishing a very detailed interview regarding this story tomorrow - with names, dates, and all the good stuff - make sure you check it out!
The deck has been stacked against McCain folks. Make sure you get everyone you know to get out there and vote on Tuesday - now more than any other time in history - we need to make sure we get all of those who believe in America and the constitution who don’t want to see us become the U.S.S.A. to get out and vote next Tuesday! Since the courts won’t fix it - WE the people need to do it in the booth.
