Toyota has answered the prayers of tuners everywhere. The TRD Tuned performance Scion tC RS 5.0 is a limited release car that made its first debut to the public earlier this year at the Chicago Auto Show. This Scion has garnered alot of attention due to fact that almost every part offered by TRD for the Scion has made its way onto the car. The first modification that almost every tuner makes to their car has to do with the exhaust or muffler. The TRD cat-back exhaust is made of stainless steel and emits a wonderful deep-pitched sound. Not only does this system look ... Read Full Story

The question on everyone’s lips, then, is what Toyota will call the final version when it hits the market. Some reports are indicating that Toyota will revive the Celica nameplate, a name which still carries a certain following among Japanese sportscar fans even though it hasn’t been ... Read Full Story

Filed under: Scion , New York Auto Show , Green Daily , USA Click above for a high-res image gallery of the Toyota iQ Scion has decided to end speculation about whether a new concept vehicle will be unveiled at the New York Auto Show by issuing a press release confirming our suspicions. In the process, though, the automaker has stirred the pot back up regarding what type of vehicle will be on display. According to the super short blurb (pasted after the break), the new concept will be a “micro-subcompact” and will represent “a new segment for the brand aimed toward the growing ... Read Full Story

2004 Scion xB Boxy but good. By Tom Lankard Overview Toyota wants to draw a new age into its showrooms, a younger crowd that, once there, will return over time as faithful buyers of Toyota products. But the brand name Toyota doesn't click with this crowd. Neither does the present line up, starting with the Echo and closing with the Avalon. Toyota figures the solution is a new brand, one carefully researched to appeal to the next generation of car buyers. Scion is that new brand. The Scion xB is one of three all-new models wearing the new badge and can now be found ... Read Full Story

Filed under: Kia , LA Auto Show , USA Click above for more live shots of the Kia Soul in LA Toyota has taken a bit of heat for seemingly ungreening its Scion xB, which used a small, efficient engine housed in a small, efficient package that seated four occupants comfortably with room left over for their various belongings. Now, many believe that the current xB has been enlarged from the size of previous models to its detriment and has gotten a 2.4-liter injection of power that reduces efficiency noticeably. For those who wish Scion had left things well enough alone, Kia and Nissan ... Read Full Story

This Scion loses its top so we can get a better look at its goods. Yes, this Scion tC, created by drag racer Jeremy Lookofsky and Cartel Customs for this year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas, may be the first convertible tC. Sort of. While not a conventional convertible with a retracting roof, the car’s most obvious [...] Related posts:Scion xBs for SEMA – Auto Shows2009 Scion tC RS 5.0 – Auto Shows2009 Scion xB RS 6.0 – Auto Shows

How do you get a FWD Scion tC to put 900+ HP to the track effectively? With a ginormous front wing. Chris Rado's modification to this Time Attack racer makes total sense, but it's still ugly. Thanks to that wing, the Chris Rado Scion tC holds a handful of front-wheel drive track records, most importantly at Willow Springs, where it managed a 1:22.623 time.

The Scion xB is a favorite of the wacky tuning crowd and this Scion xB "Truck" by Brandon Leung certainly is unique, blending touches of retro-JDM with lakester styling elements, and it doesn't hide the fact it's definitely a Camino. After hacking the little trucklet into existence, Leung also massaged the engine with upgraded valves, valve springs, new cam, a port and polish on the head, performance header, new clutch and nitrous system. It...

Toyota’s youth-oriented econobox goes under the knife and emerges ready for the streets. Recall that, when Scion launched in 2002, it was aimed at young people who wanted to pimp their rides, preferably with accessories straight from Toyota dealerships. That mission statement hasn’t changed and is why the company continues to have a strong showing at [...] Related posts:Scion tC by Cartel Customs – Auto Shows2009 Scion xB RS 6.0 – Auto...
