The Kodak Theatre in Hollywood has a new name. From now through 2033, the home of the Academy Awards is the Dolby Theatre. Audio technology company Dolby Laboratories Inc. acquired the naming rights after Kodak filed a motion to terminate its naming agreement. The Academy Awards ceremony will stay at the Hollywood and Highland Center for 20 more years as part of an agreement announced Tuesday by the Academy and the venue owner. The former Kodak Theatre will be renamed the Dolby Theatre, according to the agreement.  

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- After much speculation, the Academy Awards ceremony will stay in Hollywood, but the Kodak Theatre is getting a new name. The posh four-level, 3,400-seat theater, formerly known as the Kodak Theatre, will be renamed the Dolby Theatre.
