Autoblog had the rare opportunity to visit GM's Performance Build Center in Wixom, Michigan where they worked along side master engine builder Mike Armstrong to assemble an LS9 engine. The PBC is unique to GM's other engine assembly centers as each engine is assembled by hand from start to finish by a single engine builder as opposed to sending the engine down an assembly line where multiple workers add the same part over and over. For those that want to go the whole nine yards with the 2010 Camaro Fesler-Moss packages, muscle car builder Chris Fesler and former GM specialty vehicle director Jon Moss, have created the Limited Edition package. That is, if you're actually willing to spend more than what it would cost you to park a brand new Corvette ZR1 and a loaded 2010 Camaro SS in your garage, as the Limited Edition Camaro is priced at a hefty $150,000 or $110,000 if...

This may be the first bone-stock Corvette ZR1 to run the quarter mile in the 10's. Corvette Forum's Racerns posted video and the time slip from last Monday's drag run at Maryland International Raceway. Following the bone stock quarter mile runs, the Corvette ZR1 switched to drag radials and the forum's "Ranger" dialed up an even faster run of 10.730 @ 132.46 mph. Videos of both runs are after the jump. [More]

Apparently it can turn a wheel too, posting a scorching 7:33 time around the Nürburgring. Still no GT-R 7:26.7. Despite the six second gap between what this GT3 RS did and the GT-R has done (not to mention the Corvette ZR1's 7:26.4), the latest effort by Porsche still has some wiggle room. This run was made in traffic and judging...

Corvette C6 w/Nitrous Oxide - click image to watch the video
Or at least a Z06. Now, we're all for drag racing - it's one of the purest forms of sport around - much like World's Strongest Man minus all the steroids. Or is that plus nine billion times the steroids? Either way, little is more adrenaline pumping than watching a nitrous-venting 1976 Chevrolet Camaro run the...

American Le Mans fans have voted Corvette Racing's first GT2 win at Mosport in August as the series story of the year. If you remember, Mosport was just the third race in the GT2 class for the new ZR1-based Corvette C6.R. It was also Johnny O'Connell's 100th start in an ALMS race. The #3 Corvette C6.R fended off an epic challenge by the #62 Risi Ferrari in the closing minutes at Mosport, but Jan...
