Zebra Prom Dresses

If you're on the lookout for a cute zebra print prom dress, you're in luck. 2010 seems to be the year of black and white animal print, as there is apparently high demand for edgy, sexy zebra-print dresses for prom.

A word of advice: ease up on the hair and makeup. If you go over-the-top on the beauty beat with a highly busy dress, you run the risk of showing up at prom looking like you just stumbled out of a Vegas burlesque show. Of course, if that's your intention, then full speed ahead!

Here are some of the zebra prom dress offerings for 2010.

This Terani dress is not for the faint of heart. It features a Jessica Rabbit-esque sweetheart neckline, satin detailing at the waist, and endless sequins. It also has a thigh-high split on the left leg. If your school has a strict dress code, you may have trouble getting into the venue! It's available at French Novelty.

This Betsy & Adam dress is much less expensive, and also less overwhelming. The zebra-print dress features a partially open back, cutout sides, a gathered sweetheart bust and a delicious mermaid silhouette (so trendy this year). Available at Dillard's.

Finally, if you're really hoping to splurge on an over-the-top gown, there's this Jovani prom dress. The zebra mermaid gown runs for a little under $500 at French Novelty. Think carefully before you buy, though - are you ever going to wear a zebra print gown ever again?
