Concerned community groups criticize Facebook for promoting drunken behavior

Alcohol Concern spokesman Frank Soodeen is very concerned about the Facebook group, "30 Reasons Girls Should Call It A Night".  He described the group as 'symptomatic of the culture of acceptability around drunkenness'.

"People are perfectly happy to post these sorts of pictures because they recognise that alcohol-related embarrassment will actually improve their social standing."

Parents and community groups are concerned that groups like this one that allow young people to share pictures of drunk college girls are encouraging young women to put themselves in dangerous situations.
