Okay, so this is Part 4 in the series entitled "Jonathan Elinoff." Jon is a member of WeAreChange Colorado. WeAreChange or We Are Change is an obvious answer to Barack Obama's oft-used term during is campaign "Change." For me, the term was already worn out before Barack adopted it. What I wasn't counting on was the generational ignorance that accompanies every up and coming generation (mine included). They didn't know what Obama's team was up to. They didn't look into the details; or when they did, they took much for granted, such as Obama's promise to vastly ramp up the war against the Muslim ... Read Full Story

Attorney General Eric Holder announced yesterday that five people involved in the 9-11 terrorist attacks, including the mastermind, will be tried in civilian court in downtown Manhattan . I am not going to weigh in on the politics of this decision, nor on any security concerns or interrogation techniques. What I am going to weigh in on is the chances for these people to get a fair trial by an impartial jury in New York City. Picking a fair jury is always somewhat tricky. Anyone can have a bias and not tell, or have a bias that they themselves don't know about. Figuring out ... Read Full Story

Journalistic Malpractice: Iraq 9/11 and US support of Israel Representative Press Blog War Crime Sold By Neocon Deception United Press International journalist Arnaud de Borchgrave explains that he first heard people talking about "the inevitability" of the Iraq war when he was at a Dick Cheney book party held for Scooter Libby. Borchgrave says "the capital's top neocons" at the party "corrected" him for saying "if there is a war" because they were saying there was no "if" about it, "the decision had been made." They informed him that all the Bush Administration talk about the UN was nothing more than "the obligatory charade ... Read Full Story

Yesterday at 1:10am on Facebook Tom Usher This is a touchy area, but Canadian Paul Jay directs it so Colleen Rowley can say the right thing that without getting at the root causes and real truth, the real fix can't be made. We must have a new, thorough, crime investigation of everything leading up to 9/11 and what unfolded thereafter, which includes the why and how of both Afghanistan and Iraq and so much more -- too much to even begin to list here. We need the youth to become stirred by this and not hollow phrases and terms such as "Change" and "Yes ... Read Full Story

I am a free lance writer, a mental health professional, and (among other things) an old history buff from way back. It has been while researching my own genealogical roots that certain gnawing questions have occurred to me. It is also because of that fact that I have arrived at the decision to compose this article. I have been fortunate enough to have descended from ancestors on both my paternal and maternal sides who’ve authored and published books about their heritage and their lives back in the 1800’s and before. I also consider myself very fortunate in having been bestowed with an abundance of ... Read Full Story

Mounir El Motassadeq, a former associate of three of the 9/11 hijackers, is convicted of assisting the 9/11 attacks. The conviction is handed down by a federal appeals court in Germany, where Motassadeq had known the hijackers. Motassadeq had previously been convicted of being a member of a terrorist organization , but was acquitted on similar charges of assisting the 9/11 attacks . However, the appeals court decides this decision was wrong...

Josh Gerstein at Politico flags a pretty dubious argument (see also here) against seeking the death penalty for the alleged 9/11 plotters: They're being tried in New York, which doesn't currently have a death penalty statute, so doesn't it offend federalism for federal prosecutors to seek the death penalty there? No, it doesn't.  As a strictly legal matter, federal criminal law and state criminal law are entirely separate bodies of law; a...

FORT WORTH, Texas (MCT) — The suspect in the Fort Hood shootings once regularly attended a Falls Church, Va., mosque, which the FBI has linked to two of the 9/11 hijackers, but the congregation’s current spiritual leader Sunday insisted the government’s claims of connections are wrong.

It is now being reported that alleged Fort Hood shooter Nidal Malik Hasan attended the same Virginia mosque as two of the 9/11 murderers. If confirmed, it will show that Hasan shared more with the 9/11 hijackers than a taste for strip clubs and murderous intent.
