Unfortunately, we got cloudy evening here. It looked like it was clearing out, but then on the wrong side of the sky. Well, this did not stopped me from taking my camera out. First, I was able to snap Sunset while we were driving home. I was still hoping for the real Harvest Moon, as big as I used to see. What can I say, oh well there is always next time. Then after dinner I went to check out on the Moon. The Full Moon was there but the clouds were still passing by making it too difficult to capture a sharp photo. I snapped few photos for my collection. However, I was fortunate to snap photo with a bird on the Moon. Yes, with the passing bird by the Moon. Its a dot, but as I enlarge a bit I can see a couple of wings. On the other hand, I think someone else had better luck then me this time, check out

"The definition of a Harvest Moon is: the full moon closest to the fall equinox. The Harvest Moon was thus named because it rises within a half-hour of when the sun sets. In early days, when farmers had no tractors, it was essential that they work by the light of the moon to bring in the harvest. This moon is the fullest moon of the year. When you gaze at it, it looks very large and gives a lot of light throughout the entire night. No other lunar spectacle is as awesome as the Harvest Moon." ... and more...
