Strengths:
Abrams is a technical guard, and a solid one at that. Still, this is something that has improved drastically in his four years with the Longhorns. Obviously a steady scorer, Abrams is stronger on offense and was the team's top returning scorer this season. In his case, staying for the fourth year at Texas was a good decision, he's improved on his skills as a whole to make him a well-rounded player.
Weaknesses:
Defensively Abrams has come a long way, but it's still something he needs to work on and thinks about constantly, which is obvious from his game. His size may be his downfall, he's defininitely small not just by NBA standards, but by college standards for a traditional guard. Bulking up wouldn't hurt him.
Why to watch:
Abrams has played a consistent game throughout his college career, averaging around 16 points per game, he's a reliable guard that can score when he needs to. Since it's his last season, look for him to step his game up during the tournament. No. 7 Texas faces No. 10 Minnesota in the first round of the tournament. It's an interesting matchup, and it's surprising that Minnesota has been seeded so high, and Texas so low, something that would have seen unexpected in the beginning of the season.
After this season expect to see Abrams in the 2009 NBA draft. He'll likely go late in the first round, but it's doubtful he'll play much.
