My season of 2009 started in 2008 when A.J. Foyt asked me to go to Australia. I was very happy to hear that because then we could get a jump-start on everybody that was changing teams. With that race we could really see what improvements we needed and what we had to keep for 2009...

Indianapolis Motor Speedway officials are altering the Month of May format again, marking the third year in a row the Indianapolis 500 schedule has been condensed to cut costs. The changes also push back the start of practice to May 15, the latest opening day in track history.  

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indianapolis 500 will cut one week out of its traditional schedule in May.

The steady stream of interested owners, drivers and the curious were nearly unanimous in in their opinion about the Road to Indy display at the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show. The Road to Indy is going to be a good thing for the sport of open-wheel racing. The Indy Racing League's developmental ladder system, which was formally announced Dec. 10 at the racing trade show held annually at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando...  

Opening day is May 15 and qualifying will be a single-weekend, two-day format.  

Ask almost any racing fan -- what is the most famous automobile race in the world and they will say, "The Indy 500!" It may come as a surprise when I tell you that half a century ago this sleek yellow racer was among the 33 starters in the 1961 ...

It looks kind of unwieldy, but this sweet piece of OG playground equipment is only 4' long and 2' high, small enough for toddlers--and small enough to ship via Greyhound. Even better--for me, anyway, I'm sure it means jack...
