Milan keen to keep hold of Pato

Milan striker Alexandre Pato has returned to training after a thigh injury ruled him out for six weeks. Vice-president Adriano Galliani insists the Brazilian forward “will not leave Milan.”

Pato has been sidelined since March 21 due to a recurring thigh problem and might be on the bench against Genoa this weekend.

The Brazil international has been heavily linked with a bid from Chelsea, who are also showing interest in teammate Thiago Silva.

“I can reiterate that it is 100 per cent certain Pato will remain with Milan next season,” Galliani told Sky Italia television.

Real Madrid are also monitoring Pato’s situation, having taken Kaka from the Rossoneri last summer.
