North Carolina State's Kay Yow, the Hall of Fame women's basketball coach who won more than 700 games while earning fans with her decades-long fight against breast cancer, died on Saturday. She was 66. Yow, first diagnosed with the disease in 1987, died Saturday morning at WakeMed Cary Hospital after being admitted there last week, university spokeswoman Annabelle Myers said. The ACC announced yesterday that tickets for the 2009 ACC Men's Basketball Tournament will be available for sale on a tournament book basis starting Monday, March 2. For the first time since 1966, ACC Basketball Tournament tickets will go on sale to the general public. The general thinking is that the economy is driving the decision. I wrote a few days ago about the cheapest way to find ACC Tournament tickets , and I saw a few tickets a couple of days ago listing at less than $200 for a full session.
