North Carolina State's Kay Yow, the Hall of Fame women's basketball coach who won more than 700 games while earning fans with her decades-long fight against breast cancer, died on Saturday. Originally diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987 Kay Yow has been dealing with recurrences that might have sidelined other women. Instead in 1988 she coached the winning U.S. Women's Olympic Basketball team For 30 years she has coached the Women's basketball team at N.C. State University, the Wolfpack.
