Duke continues to be the ACC's most consistent team, as they hammered a decent Gonzaga squad last week. North Carolina is playing a brutal early season schedule, that should pay dividends later in the year, but right now the Heels are taking some lumps. Let's see how the rest of the ACC looks. Sports Illustrated's not as high on ACC football as it is ACC basketball. In SI's All-Decade accolades the ACC picked up "Worst BCS conference" honors and Duke was tabbed the "Worst Program." Miami placed two players on the All-Decade team, tight end Kellen Winslow and safety Ed Reed, but neither played in the ACC. Congratulations to UVA's Monica Wright, who was named the ACC Women's Basketball Player of the Week today for the week ending Dec. 13. The Preseason ACC Player of the Year is used to these honors by now, as this is her fourth weekly accolade of her career, albeit the first of the 2009-10 season.
