Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds 'Butt Heads' on 'Safe House' Set

Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington return to the big screen in the new action thriller, "Safe House," and Denzel talked to "Extra's" AJ Calloway about Ryan giving him a black eye on set. Denzel explained, "I'm handcuffed, and I'm supposed to reach over Ryan's head and try to choke him. As I was flying forward, his head whipped back, and pow!"

Washington continued, "A huge black eye. It was an accident."

Ryan, who plays a young CIA agent in the film, recalled the incident in a separate interview with AJ, saying, "That sucked. I thought that was my last day!"

When asked who he's rooting for in this year's NY Giants vs. New England Patriots Super Bowl, Reynolds replied, "Well, I just spent five months in Boston, so I'm going to have to say... the Giants."

Native New Yorker Denzel also expressed his support for the team. "I grew up twenty minutes from Yankee Stadium. Are you kidding me? The Giants!"

Calloway explained his bet with "Extra" host Maria Menounos -- who is rooting for the Patriots -- and said if he wins, Menounos will have to wear a NY Giants bikini in the middle of Times Square, and if Maria wins, AJ will put on a Patriots cheerleader uniform. Denzel laughed, and declared, "Go Patriots!"
