Australian golfer Aaron Baddeley almost pulled out of the US PGA Tour event here when his pregnant wife was admitted to hospital.
"It's been a tough pregnancy and Richelle was admitted to hospital last Thursday for precautionary reasons," the Australian said after finishing equal 10th behind Colombian winner Camilo Villegas.
"I was close to pulling out and going home but she told me to stay. Everything was OK, and she had her friends and family with her. She's going to be on bed rest for the rest of the pregnancy."
Richelle is due in November, which is why Baddeley won't play at home at all this year. In fact, his 2008 season is almost over, with only one more event on his schedule, near his American home in Scottsdale, Arizona.
