Aaron Brooks a Sacramento King?

SI’s truth and rumors is reporting Aaron Brooks frustration with his new role coming off the bench with the Houston Rockets. He was suspended for 1 game for his latest stunt. He walked off the court and into the locker room in his last game with roughly 6 minutes left in the 4th. Obviously, he was supposed to go sit on the bench.

There was a rumor earlier in the year that the Kings were interested in Brooks. Houston was interested in JT at the time. However, with Brooks displeasure and benching would it be possible to unload Carl “Top Hat” Landry for Aaron Brooks? It would give some depth at the PG position and place Udrih back into his logical role as a backup PG. Udrih is having a career year averaging 16 PPG and 4 assists. However, his defense is just a liability on the court.

Brooks is by far not a great defender. His D is better then Udrih’s. Brooks is a faster more shifty PG and truly has skills. He is a cheap knock off of Allen Iverson with a slightly better shooting touch. Look at Brook’s 09-10 campaign: 20 PPG, 5 assists. As a Sac King fan wouldn’t you rather see 20/5 vs 16/4? Brooks is only 26 years old. Udrih is 28. Brooks is only 6 ft. Udrih is 6’3. Brooks makes 2 million. Udrih makes 6 million. I take the 4 mil a year cash savings, younger player, and better stats. Food for thought.
