(Getty Images)more pics »Aaron Carter was engaged to a gal named Kari Ann Peniche back in 2006, when he impulsively popped the question in Las Vegas while they were onstage at the Playboy Comedy Tour. The 18-year-old Carter and his 22-year-old former Miss United States Teen winner apparently planned to wed 6 months after the engagement, but they called off the wedding before making it down the aisle.

At the time, Kari said she was "very excited" about the prospect of getting married, and that Aaron was the "most genuine" person she knew. She told People.com about the engagement: "I don't remember it happening. It was such a blur. I had no idea he was going to do this, but I'm glad he did."

Peniche was stripped of her Miss United States Teen in 2003, but was stripped of her crown after posing for Playboy. After these two went their separate ways, Aaron began dating Kaci Brown, a young singer who opened for the Backstreet Boys in 2005.
