Scout.com takes a look at some strong performances from the Elite 11 that was held in the DFW area at Dallas Cowboys Stadium. It is always subjective on who and why and how the best arms are picked, but if we had to pick six guys to take on our team here is who they would be.

The Dallas Cowboys had some major problems in 2011, from their offensive line to their secondary to injuries holding them back. One of the injured Cowboys was wide receiver Miles Austin and he said in a recent interview he wasn't prepared for the 2011 season.  

The NFL Draft is less than a week away and NFL teams are figuring out exactly which players look good in hopes of improving their roster for the 2012 season. The Dallas Cowboys have the 14th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft and will be looking at fixing their defensive woes while patching up some sore spots in the offensive line as they try to gain revenge on the New York Giants in the NFC East.  

Normally, when a player plays for a team for a long period of time, the team signs them to a ceremonial contract so they can retire with the team they starred with. Emmitt Smith did that with the Dallas Cowboys after he finished his career with the Arizona Cardinals. Dallas signed him and he retired a Cowboy.

IRVING, Texas -- Cowboys owner Jerry Jones went back to his gambling swashbuckling days in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft with an impressive trade with the St. Louis Rams, enabling Dallas to move from No. 14 overall to No. 6 to take standout LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne.

Botching up a draft can really set you back. In 2009, the Dallas Cowboys had one of their worst drafts in recent years and it has had a lingering effect.
