Mr. Aaron Sorkin has been pretty busy lately. Last week, he gave a beautiful, inspirational commencement speech at Syracuse, his alma mater, where he earned a degree in musical theater, and yesterday he announced that he will indeed be taking on the huge responsibility of penning the Steve Jobs biopic for Sony Pictures. Aaron Sorkin will write the screenplay for Sony’s big screen biopic of late Apple founder Steve Jobs, he confirmed to E! Online today. The film is based on Walter Isaacson’s biography of Jobs, and will star Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs, which is one of those bits of casting news that seems weird at first but actually kind of fits. After winning an Oscar for writing a screenplay about Facebook, Aaron Sorkin is setting his sights on Apple. Variety reports that Sorkin has officially signed on to adapt Walter Isaacson’s biography of Steve Jobs, titled Steve Jobs, for Sony Pictures.
