Sacai Spring/Summer 2012 Ready-to-Wear Collection
Feminine, bold, sexy, complicated, simple and chic are the other words to describe Sacai’s Chitose Abe spring 2012 collection. In September 2011 the company opened a major store at Aoyama Minato-ku shopping district of Tokyo. This spring collection shows the creativity in the flows idea that Abe had. The complexity in mixing sweaters, camisoles, utility jackets, pleated skirts, and double-breasted blazers in one piece reveals to us how Chitose is powerful as a designer. If you were sitting in there you would note how much she cared about small details and how much her audience adore that . Cotton, satin, silk and lace are the general fabrics that Ms. Abe used to do here magic with turning a menswear to a women’s wear. Her hybrid piece shows the sexy by giving a glimpse of the briefs beneath especially in here eyelet dresses. She knits a lace pieces to blue simple navy short sleeve shirt. She also transformed a traditional coat’s buckled storm collar into a chic neckline, however my favorite look was a long navy short sleeve knit dress with embroidered shirt collar. It doesn’t matter how much I described the innovative of this collection cause there is a high craft in here creation I can not transferred it. Abe said that the inspiration behind this collection an emotional place which is Japan. She said “Japan has suffered so much, that I wanted clothes that were fun, joyous, could make you happy. And she did it make every one in fashion world happy.
