Who knew Abraham Lincoln was slaying vampires after hours while the people of this fine country slept?  Today we get to see a glimpse into that world with the release of the trailer for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.  I mean who doesn’t want to see one of America’s most famous Presidents take down some vampires?!  Two very stylistic men are behind this project; Tim Burton is the producer to this film, along with Timur Bekmambetov who takes the reins as director for this film.  With these two men working together we can expect some great visuals.  This trailer shows us a few scenes with some pretty cool looking eye-candy.  This isn’t Bekmambetov’s first trip into the world of vampires.  He directed and created Night Watch and Day Watch which featured many supernatural creatures, including vampires.  Okay, enough of all this talking.  Let’s get to the trailer below!!!  The storyline from IMDb:

“President Lincoln's mother is killed by a supernatural creature, which fuels his passion to crush vampires and their slave-owning helpers.”

Through out the trailer we hear some classic lines from Johnny Cash.  These lines flow perfectly with the trailer.  We can see a few shots of Abraham Lincoln himself going to battle with these blood suckers.  Benjamin Walker will be the man bringing this vampire killing President to life.  This is Walker’s first major role.    This movie is based off the book with the same title which was written by Seth Grahame-Smith.  If you have never heard of Seth Grahame-Smith he also wrote the highly acclaimed book titled Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.  So with that said we can be assured he knows how to dive into the world of the undead. This film appears to have some really good talent behind it with Timur Bekmamabetov as the director, Tim Burton as producer and Seth Grahame-Smith as the screenplay writer.  Now we will have to wait tillJune 22, 2012to see if this movie can hang with the big dogs of the summer blockbuster movie season.  So what did you think of this trailer for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter?
