An Abu Ghraib guide, with links, news, and comments. Beginning in 2004, accounts of abuse, torture, sodomy and homicide of prisoners held in the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq (also known as Baghdad Correctional Facility) came to public attention. The acts were committed by some personnel of the 372nd Military Police Company of the United States Army together with additional American governmental agencies. These additional agencies have been referred to as the OGA (Other Government Agencies), which is an often used euphemism for the Central Intelligence Agency.

Earlier this month, a... Read Full Story

How's your life going? Having a good day? If so, good. If not, I am sorry. However, whether you are up or down I have a movie that is sure to take you either off your happy pedestal or even further down in the trenches. Standing Operating Procedure is certainly a well made film, I know this because it was consistently depressing. Depressing for five minutes shy of two hours. This film depicts the detestable acts that occurred at the Abu Ghraib prison involving torture, humiliation and abuse... Read Full Story
'But for the collapse of the financial markets, last week's devastating revelation that Tony Blair lied to Parliament at the height of the Ecclestone affair would have had a far more deadly impact. While prime minister, Mr Blair shamefully misled MPs by claiming the decision to exempt Bernie Ecclestone's Formula One motor sport from the Government ban on tobacco advertising was made through normal Whitehall processes - when the truth was that the decision was made by Blair personally within...
