Abu Musab al-Zarqawi FORMED al-Tawhid wal-jihad in the 1990s and continued it till death in June 2006.Zarqawi accpeted responsibility, on sevreral audio and videotapes,several acts of suicide bombings and hostage executions in Iraq.
In 1992 in Jordan Zarqawi was arrested, and spend almost five years in a Jordania prison for conspiring to overthrow the monarchy to establish an Islamic caliphate.Upon his release from prison in 1999, he blow up the Radisson hotel in Amman there were many American and Isreali tourists lodged.he was the most wanted person in Iraq.In end of 2004 Zarqawi joined al-Qaeda, and pledged allegiance to Osama Bin Laden.In late 2005, he declared “all-out war” on shiaa in Iraq after the Iraqi Govt. offensive on insurgents in the Sunni town of Tal Afar.Zarqawi dispatched several suicide bombers in hotels in Amman, Jordan in late 2005.
Zarqawi wasdead in targeted killing on June 7,2006,while meeting attending in an isolated safehouse north of Baqubah.United States Air Force F-16C two jets dropped 500-pound(230kg) bombs on the safehouse.
