2008 Honda Accord All-new sedan and coupe are bigger and better. By G.R. Whale Overview Eight generations ago the Accord was Honda's biggest car but no one foresaw it as a large car. Enter the all-new 2008 Honda Accord, a mid-size sedan that's grown enough to move into the EPA's Large Car segment. Introduced at the same time, is an all-new, two-door Honda Accord coupe. The all-new, 2008 Honda Accord continues refinement and adds more power, room, safety, and features-to-cost value.
In-Depth Automotive Review - 2008 Honda Accord Coupe, Follow Up
By Shaun Patrick Davidson Honda's new Accord comes to market with newer styling that takes things to another level. Honda's previous generation of coupe was a great selling car, sporty yet knew when to keep it conservative. Unveiled for the first time today at the Chicago Auto Show, the most powerful version of the Acura's premium sports sedan is fitted with a 280-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 that's coupled to a Sequential SportShift automatic transmission with steering-wheel mounted F1-style paddle shifters. Chismillionaire's take: The new 6 must be some kind of vehicle. I think it is just incredible that the class leading Altima of a couple years ago, now is the laggard of the pack, and last year's all new Accord is the runner up. While it's a solid car, my guess is the Chevy Malibu would have finished 4th here. Just goes to show how competitive this segment has become. Our recent test of the 2009 Mazda 6 s Grand Touring showed us that Mazda can still offer sporting dynamics in its all-new family sedan, even while providing more room, more features and more ...
