Infected Pimple Help [popping a pimple] [peroxide]
I tried popping a pimple the other day and it was not easy as it usually is. It never really stopped just started to bleed slightly and removed. I tried to get rid of it since and every time I try to drain, it just continues to drain, but it is still above the surface. I have a red circle on my cheek now defined. I was wondering what is the best way to wash and what treatment I should use. Someone suggested peroxide to clean, but Im not sure. Any help would be great!

Reply:OK, rule #1 never ever pop pimples! rule #2 if you just can't resist the temptation and you feel like you're gonna die if you don't squeeze it wait till the pimple is full blown and then you take a needle hold it over a flame to disinfect it and then you poke the pimple in the middle and then with tissue on your fingers you gently try to expel the puss. BUT don't squeeze it hard or you'll bleed and if it bleeds? that's a guaranteed brand new scar for you. Rule # 3 don't keep trying to squeeze it if nothing 's coming out you'll just spread the infection and end up with a deep scar.

Reply:mmm yes gotta love those. I have one on my chin, that actually caused a breakout around it and then it formed like into one mega zit. Ive been putting 10% bp on my maybe twice sometimes 3 times a day for the last 2 days, and it has helped out a LOT. The swelling has decreased and they are slowly disappearing. I think in about 2 days (knock on wood) it should be pretty much gone. But I know im gonna love the scar(s) it left behind. Ive had this re-occuring cyst for a month and a half now, talk about a pain in the ***. As for a bandaide, I had to use one, I didn't want anyone to see that hideous thing. I just put some of that bp on it (Clean and Clear Persa-Gel 10% bp) and put a bandaide on it till i got home. Everthing seems fine, now that I found that bp. 00t 00t
Good Luck, might even try the aspirin mask too. It kind of helped me with swelling.

you should put peroxide on and maybe put a bandaid on it, i no this isnt the best advice , but when i pop a pimple and dont put a bandaid on it i break out more and when i do put a bandaid on it, it stops my face from breaking out, sorry im not much help, you should try proactiv it works for me maybe it will help you , or just get benzoly peroxide, my suggestion is to not pick my acne is actually almost gone from me not picking which is actually a shock,
