Apparently Universal is done with the toy and board game business this week. Not only did the studio drop Stretch Armstrong with Relativity picking up the pieces, but now Columbia Pictures and Happy Madison productions has picked up Candy Land with the latter company's founder, actor Adam Sandler, also attached to star in the adaptation of the popular Hasbro board game. It sounds like this is turning into something akin to Sandler's family...
