Next week FOUNTAINS OF WAYNE will kick off a rare 2 month acoustic tour. Unlike some acoustic tours, this tour will feature the full band, just in a mellower atmosphere in what appears to be smaller clubs than the band usually plays. This group of Jersey dudes are also in the process of recording their latest not-yet-titled follow up album to 2007’s Traffic & Weather . Fountain of Wayne 's Adam Schlesinger has been nominated for four Tony Awards. Schlesinger's work on the new Broadway adaptation of John Waters ' Cry Baby . Songs for Cry-Baby: The Musical were co-written by Schlesinger and "The Daily Show's" executive producer David Javerbaum.
