Adam Schlesinger Nominated for 4 Tony Awards

Fountain of Wayne's Adam Schlesinger has been nominated for four Tony Awards. Schlesinger's work on the new Broadway adaptation of John Waters' Cry Baby. Songs for Cry-Baby: The Musical were co-written by Schlesinger and "The Daily Show's" executive producer David Javerbaum. Tony Award nominations for their work includes "Best Musical" and "Best Score."

Schlesinger is no stranger to awards. He has received Oscar and Golden Globe nominations for the title song to the Tom Hanks' film That Thing You Do and Fountains of Wayne was nominated for two Grammy Awards.

Schlesinger is currently at work producing the new Dashboard Confessional record, due out in the fall, and writing songs for the next Fountains of Wayne album.
