ACTOR Adam West, star of the 60s Batman TV series, has spoken further about his feelings towards the modern movie versions of the masked hero. West, 79, had already spoken earlier about the vast differences between the flamboyant television show and the grittier modern interpretations in such films as 2005's Batman Begins and next month's much-anticipated sequel The Dark Knight. In a further interview, he reveals he was the one who had campaigned for the tongue-in-cheek tone of the TV show and that he's not keen on the current focus on explosion and effects.
