Ayanbadejo, Ogunleye, Will Pillow Fight Next

On Tuesday, FanHouse’s Josh Alper wrote that the Bears were down to one Ayanbadejo. Fullback Obafemi Ayanbadejo was released, and survived on the roster by his brother, linebacker and special-teamer, Brendon. Well, it looks like the Bears were almost Ayanbadejo-less following a recent pre-practice locker room. And worse, they were almost Adewale Ogunleye-less too.

First, defensive end Adewale Ogunleye slapped linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo hard in the back of the head as he talked to a reporter before Wednesday’s practice. Ayanbadejo yelled an obscenity, walked away and got his revenge moments later.

He emerged from the weight room, reached around the door, and delivered a blind-side hit as Ogunleye addressed reporters, smashing a handful of shaving cream in his face — some of which got in his eyes.

“Payback is real bad! It’s bad!” Ayanbadejo shouted, before retreating to the weight room.

The AP reports that “neither player looked happy.” No word on whether that had to do with being 1-3, or getting caught up in some White Shadow locker room hijinks. Good news, though: both sides have called a truce: “Everything’s fine,” Ayanbadejo said after practice. “Blood is thicker than water. We see each other like brothers. His eyes hurt; I apologize. Next time, I’ll definitely do whipped cream.”

Yes, whipped cream. Duh. With that out of the way, the Bears can now get back to being in last place in the division.
