The underachieving Mariners are starting to look to the future and may look to trade Raul Ibanez. They have already released Richie Sexson, who is not drawing much interest, and may shop Jose Vidro along with Adrian Beltre. Compared to last night, Fenway Park was much more serene this evening. Too serene. The Red Sox played uninspired baseball on the mound, in the field and at the plate as they dropped an 8-0 laugher to Major League Baseball's worst team, the Seattle Mariners.

The Seattle Mariners, owners of the leagues worst record, have fired GM Bill Bavasi after his 5th season as the teams general manager. The Mariners were expected to compete for a playoff spot this year but got off to a poor start and have not been able to rebound.
