Adrianne Palicki has been tapped to take on the role of Wonder Woman in the pilot being shot for NBC.
Palicki will take on the iconic role, last played by Lynda Carter in the 1970s series, in the David E. Kelley pilot, which follows Diana Prince as she attempts to balance life as a modern woman and an Amazonian crime fighter.

Reaction online has been largely positive. Comic book writer Brian Michael Bendis wrote on his Twitter page: "i know i goof around with DC, but whoever picked the new wonder woman... good job. hubba hubba and hubba." Meanwhile, fan LouMarieH mused onTwitter: "She's a good actress but the most un-Wonder Woman person I could think of! Still, she might surprise..."
