Dairy Queen is well known for their soft serve frozen treats: Cones with the curl, Peanut Buster Parfait's and my favourite, the Blizzard (Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough). They had a big challenge getting people to think about them for food.
While responsible for DQ's marketing in Canada, we faced this challenge of increasing hamburger sales with a big-impact idea. We worked with Grey Canada and produced a campaign called,

We had a very small TV production budget, and very little media weight, but this big thinking got the job done! Our target audience of young males saw the commercial and responded almost immediately. Sales increased. Head office and the Franchisees were pleased.
