Aerosmith is an American rock band with a unique style rooted in blues and hard rock. The band was popular in the late 1970s, but fizzled out. They regained popularity with a new generation in the late 1990s and have topped the charts since. They have teamed with the popular video game series Guitar Hero, to release a Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, which will feature some of their greatest hits and favorite bands. The game is set to release this summer. The band is made of lead singer Steven Tyler, guitarist Joe Perry, drummer Joey Kramer, bassist Tom Hamilton and second guitarist Ray Tabano.
The National reports: Recording sessions for AEROSMITH's 15th studio album were initially scheduled before the band's recent ill-fated tour, but have now been pushed back indefinitely while various members concentrate on solo projects.

According to the Concord Monitor, AEROSMITH frontman Steven Tyler will stage a multimedia solo presentation January 23 at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord, New Hampshire.
