Chosing The Right ClickBank Affiliate Product
There are alot of clickbank products out there and if you are new to affiliate marketing or new to clickbank this can become mind boggling deciding what product to chose. Well you might wonder why is this important well simply because chosing the right product will decide if you make it as an affiliate or if you just sink into affiliate oblivion as so many others do.In this article I will assist you by letting you know key things you should look for when chosing an affiliate product to promote via clickbank and I will make a few recommendations to you from products I have used my self and made good returns.
- 1. Dont promote site that use pop ups to get visitors emails. Most of these generally tell the vistor to sign up for someting free. Like and ebook or newsletter then should the vistor you send to the site not make a purchase during that session. These website owners will continue to send your protential customer emails offering discounts etc and should the a purchase be then made they get all the money and you dont get not a dime from that visitor. Basically this is not fair to affiliate like you who work hard to generate traffic. You deserve every opportunity there is to make money.
- 2. Do not promote sites that they commission do not calculate with what clickbanks calculation. Now bare in mind this is not done by looking at the product stats in the market place. You have to calculate it your commission which is quite simple
How are commissions calculated for standard products?
For standard products, ClickBank purchases the product from the publisher at a wholesale price equal to 92.5% of retail, less a $1 stocking charge. For affiliate directed sales, the commission percentage is subtracted from the net sale price.
Here is an example of the commission calculation if you are promoting a product that offers a 75% commission:
Therefore, as the referring affiliate for this sale, you would earn $33.90. on each sale. Some programs calim that you can make amounts which are not consistant with clickbank calculations. Again these should be avoided as they will give you false expectations.
- 3. Ensure the affliate program has a page where they describbe clearly how they affiliate program works. And provide you with a means of geting your affiliate link and provide ongoing support. A good way to test a sites affiliate support to send a basic email. Here is an example " Hi my name is James I am now promoting your product my clickbank id is xxxx(whatever your clickbank user name is) hope to hear from you" should you not recieve a reply with in 24 hours you know that the site does nto provide support or help for its affiliates and you are basically on your own. Again you dont want to be with a site or promote a site who do not even care to reply to your emails.
What that in mind. I have tested these three sites and find that they affiliate program is very good simple and they offer support to me and even welcome my feedback with makes me know that I am a partner with them.
