People always name a lion “Tsar of animals” because it is one of the largest representatives of the cat family. 

A lion is a very quiet representative of the cat family, and is also very strong and dexterous. It is so easy to do distinguish a male lion from female lion on presence of a magnificent mane. 

Lions usually live in groups in steppes also hunt in groups at night. The group of lions will surround a herd, and the group of male lions will drive the herd to the lionesses.

Lions only eat once in three days and sometimes once in a week.

 The weight of an adult lion can reach as much as 450 pounds. Lions prey on zebras, gazelles and antelopes. 

The African lion lives in a territory of Central Africa.
