African gorillas facts

Gorillas live in Central Africa . Gorillas are of the monkey family and live in herd of 5-25 individuals with one leader.

Gorillas as a rule are not aggressive, except in cases that they or their cubs are threatened with danger. Gorillas are very large animals - the largest kind of primates. The weight of a Gorilla can reach as much as 440 pounds.

The eyes are located very far from each other and very deeply planted. Their legs are short and hands are long and they usually have a thumb that is not so big.

The leader of the gorilla group, as a rule, is not aggressive and usually keeps away from the gorillas but not to far. Gorillas conduct a day time way of life. They usually wake up very much late and all the day long spends their time searching for food.

Every afternoon they sleep for a few hours.

After saturation in a territory they all group together and move on to another place following the leader. Gorillas are basically vegetarians but can eat meat while in bondage.

Each time of a gorilla sleeps is on a new place they build new jacks.
