Let's About Talk Money!

OK, let's talk money! You know I've had my fair share of reverse abundance issues. It was much easier to blame my ex last summer, but definitely not empowering. Still, it took a lot to overcome my anger and resentment toward him. I had to claim full responsibility for EVERYTHING in my life, no matter who helped it show up. That was scary, because if I have the power to create every detail of my reality, then I also have the power to seriously mess it up! I was afraid of making mistakes, especially with my kids' welfare hanging in the balance. My life is full of previous examples of how NOT to create. There was more of me showing me what I couldn't do than what I could. Then of course there were fear-based people all around me telling me what I had to do in order to survive.
Getting to know and trust Spirit was the first step in the right direction, but I needed to do some other things as well. One was making choices that heal and nourish me. That's why I signed up for Holy Tea and Young Living when it didn't make financial sense to do so. I needed to demonstrate my desire for wellbeing by making choices that support it. Healing self-worth issues was important, too, for me. Spirit was a big part of that, for guidance, inspiration, and leading me through the healing process. I needed to remember more of who I really am, because when you know that, worthiness is a given.
Some of the tools I used both for resentment and self-worth were EFT and Ho'Oponopono. I used a frequency raising system a lot, essential oils, chanting Om, and a lot of heart-focused meditation. A lot of work went on the back burner... or out the window, to devote time to meditation. I kept remembering the words of Abraham that we attract according to our vibration, which depends on our emotional state. Nothing was more important than getting to a place of joy, which meant aligning with Spirit and awakening more to the truth of who I am.
When someone bought our house at auction, especially when I found out when they wanted us out, resentment and fear got HUGE!!! But everything changed when I was able to sincerely desire an outcome that was a blessing for all concerned, even them. That was not easy, but I knew I needed to get there. The only way to do that was to focus on expanding my heart, dissolving the barriers around it, and surrendering to Love. Many times I had to surrender to what is, accept it, and let go of everything. I grew so much during that time.
I didn't think I held any defeating beliefs about money, but they were there, so I worked on correcting that. The first time I said, "I love money" I felt that pang of guilt, but I didn't let it stop me. I thought about money in terms of energy and reminded myself that All is One, All is God, and that means money is just as much part of God as a butterfly. To call money "bad" in any way is to say that part of God is "bad." That helped me a lot. Then I took it a step further. I started taking a little bit of cash from every check I got and blessing it. Then I would use it to buy things instead of my debit card so that it took that blessing out into the world with it. Every time I got change back, I'd do the same thing. Now, I also write LOVE on every dollar bill, and on checks before I put them in the bank. (See Dr. Emoto's work with water crystals).
Here's my money blessing. Being a Reiki Master, I naturally use Reiki as part of this, but you don't need that for it to be effective. After writing LOVE on all the bills I have, I hold them in my hands and say the following:
I bless this money with love. I bless this money with joy. I bless this money with gratitude. I bless this money with increase in joyful abundance. I bless this money that it may bless all who touch it. I bless this money that it may spread the blessing to all money with which it comes in contact. This money is blessed. It is done.
Another thing is that when I pay any bill, I give thanks that I have the ability to do so, with real joy and gratitude in my heart. I no longer spend money in any form with fear or worry. If I have those feelings, I don't spend it. If I need to spend it, I clear those feelings first.
The first bottle of Abundance oil that I got went fast because I used it every day. It was a matter of applying every tool at my disposal. As the oil got lower and lower in the bottle, I just affirmed that I would have enough until I could get another bottle. As it turned out, I used the last drop the day before the new one arrived! When my car wasn't running right and the tire kept getting low, I affirmed that it would be ok until I had the money to fix it. It was! I think I told you that the guys at the shop couldn't believe I had been driving around for 6 months with 4 screws in my tire. I put a lot of miles on my car because the closest anything is a minimum of 40 miles away. Where ever I was going, I thanked Spirit in advance for getting me safely to my destination. Then I stayed in the moment and paid close attention to everything that I have or that IS working in my life, giving thanks for it all.
We all know that giving is an important part of receiving, so I made sure I was giving value to someone every day. Every once in a while, I'll spend an entire day just giving to others, with no benefit to me other than the joy I feel when I do it. It's usually visiting other people's web page, blog, or network profile and leaving uplifting comments, letting them know they're appreciated, or sending cards. That's something that doesn't pay my bills, but it does fill my heart. In the process, I get to give in an unconditional way. Sometimes in my yard sales I would have a person who clearly really wanted something but didn't have the money for it, usually someone's child who wanted a toy. I gave away quite a few toys and children's books! I also donated a lot of items that I could have sold, because I know they're the things that people in shelters really appreciate. They will never know who it came from, and that's part of the joy of doing it.
One other thing I do is keep a notepad on my desk that I use exclusively for writing down what I'm grateful for. I start a new page every morning, and it's not finished till just before bed. On the top of each page I write, "Thank you! I Accept!" Oh, that's another thing; I say those words a lot throughout each day, even with things that are not what I would like. Acceptance is huge!
One thing I didn't do because I didn't think of it until just now, is bless my court papers and the entire situation they represent. Then affirm a peaceful resolution that blesses all concerned. That part I did do, a lot! We can also bless our bills as they come in, our check books, credit cards, anything that has to do with money and financial transactions. Spirit is what we really are so we do have the power to bless... anything.
