Atlanta resident Aimee Michael has been sentenced to 50 years in prison, with the requirement that she serve at least 36 years, for a fatal hit-and-run accident on Easter Sunday 2009 that left five people dead. During sentencing, Judge Kimberly M. Esmond Adams said that it was Michael's flight from the scene of the accident that caused her to issue such a long prison sentence.
