Aimee Michael Gets A Sentence Of 36 Years, For Hit And Run Case

Aimee Michael from Georgia, has been sentenced to 36 years in jail after the court convicted her in the hit and run case which killed five people on Easter Sunday in the year 2009. First this 24 year old woman was sentenced to a 14 year probation, but the prosecutors were asking for at least 50 years, and then the defense pleaded for 10 years.

The Jury on Monday found Aimee guilty of all the 15 counts, which include five counts of felony vehicular homicide. Fulton County Superior Court Judge Kimberly Esmond Adams has also awarded Aimee’s mother eight years in prison as she stated that she had helped her daughter fix the BMW that she was riding during the hit and run incident in order to cover up the whole thing.

Sheila Michael, the mother, has been found guilty in two counts of misdemeanor. During the hearing, Aimee was in crying and she apologized for her wrongdoings, and for this she is utterly sorry. Even her mother was in tears and apologized for her involvement. The Judge on the other too felt for them and couldn’t help her tears rolled out too and she stated that this is the most difficult case that she has ever handled in her life, at last she wiped away her tears and pronounced the sentence.
