Our second wedding of the weekend found us at a wedding venue we have never visited before (a rarity, as we have been photographing weddings for 14 years). The venue was Aintree Racecourse – famous for hosting the Grand National horse race. But we started at Knowsley Registry Office where the happy couple 'tied the knot' in the outdoor gazebo at the rear of the building.
The bride arrived in a lovely Jaguar XF for the wedding, which was an intimate affair with only 25 guests.
Arrival at Aintree Racecourse gave us ample opportunity for wedding photographs before the arrival of the 120 evening guests. Among the guests were Phillips boss, Paul Cullerton, whose wedding we photographed 4 years ago. (80% of all our weddings come from recommendations from previous clients) so there were some familiar faces for us to photograph,
We left the wedding celebrations in full flow about 9pm and returned to our offices to process the wedding pictures only to find the power supply in our main PC had blown up. We must apologise to Phillip and Michelle as it took us 48 hours to get their wedding pictures online (instead of the usual 24)
A few photographs from the celebrations at Aintree Racecourse can be seen below (along with the usual video 'montage')
