BCI Aircraft Novated Two Boeing 737-200 Operating Leases from Aloha Airlines to Aloha Air Cargo

CHICAGO - Chicago-based BCI Aircraft Leasing, Inc. (“BCI”) today announced that operating leases for two Boeing 737-200 aircraft previously on lease to Aloha Airlines have been novated to Aloha Air Cargo. “We have had a long relationship with Aloha Airlines and we look forward to maintaining our presence in the Islands through this partnership with Aloha Air Cargo,” said Brian Hollnagel, President and CEO of BCI Aircraft Leasing. The first of the Boeing 737-200 aircraft belongs to a BCI Aircraft Leasing wholly-owned and managed subsidiary; the second aircraft is managed by BCI Aircraft Leasing. According to Brian Hollnagel, the aircraft had been on long term operating lease to Aloha Airlines, which shut down its passenger service at the end of March. Despite the airline’s termination of service, BCI was successful in novating the leases to Aloha Air Cargo, which was acquired by Seattle-based Saltchuk Resources, Inc. in May.
