Born in 1948, Albert Arnold Gore, Jr. served as the United States' 45th Vice President under Bill Clinton, from 1993 to 2001. In his early political career, Gore served as a Senator from Tennessee before leaving the post for the 1992 Election.
Gore has adopted an environmental focus in recent years, including his role in the 2006 global warming documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth."

The Telegraph is reporting that senior Democratic officials are mulling his nomination.
I said yesterday that the longer and bloodier the primary gets, the better option Al Gore becomes.
His silence is deafening.
The only Democrat that can't like the thought of Gore coming into the picutre is Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen, who sure looks like he's trying to get on someone's VP shortlist. Of course, Gore didn't win his home state in 2000 so he may need Bredesen to help win Tennessee.
