Alaina Huffman is a featured babe on Maxim.com, and the Canadian beauty wants you to watch her on TV's Stargate Universe. She plays Lt. Tamara Johansen, who's also a medic in the Air Force, and she says her character is basically in charge of everyone on the Destiny. Yikes.
Alaina Huffman (Getty)In real life, the 29-year-old has starred in Smallville and Canada's series Painkiller Jane. She had her first TV audition at 13, so she's no stranger to the small screen. Before her acting career took off, however, she modeled in Japan and Europe, then settled back down in the States when her father moved to Dallas. She then moved to LA and the rest's history.
Alaina said she wasn't much into sci-fi before her roles on Smallville and Painkiller Jane, but she does have a specific type of part she gravitates toward. She said (via Maxim.com): "I typically play strong, independent, ass-kicking women. And I love it."
