Late yesterday afternoon Deadline broke the news that True Blood creator Alan Ball has tapped a successor should the HBO series be picked up for a 6th season. Mark Hudis has served as co-executive producer and a writer of several episodes throughout seasons 4 and 5. Some interesting news has came out today talking about Alan Ball and True Blood.  It looks like after this season Alan will not be writing for the hit HBO show any more.  He will still be part of the show by being in a supervisory role and not in the day-to-day show running role he has been in since the start of the show.
